『Japonica in Kochi』図録の販売を開始します。
『Japonica in Kochi』は８月４日〜１６日まで私の故郷である高知で開催された個展です。この図録には出展した１８作全てを解説付きで掲載しています。

会期の半ばで在庫が完売してしまい、あわてて増刷した分にわずかですが余裕がありましたので通販を開始致します。

内容が個展の図録であることと、日本語での記載しかないことで（海外で販売が難しいので）これ以上の増刷はありません。ご希望の方はお早めにお申し込み下さい。

高知をテーマにしたこの個展のメイン作品「はちきんといごっそう」も掲載。

こちらも新作。来月ロサンゼルスのGallery Nucleusに展示される作品です。

私の実家、大川村の素材をテーマにして描いた作品。とても人気がありました。

Raijin-Tenugui

"Tenugui" is a traditional towel of Japan. It was sold in the event of Los Angeles in 2006.
This indigo color is a typical vegetable dyeing color of Japan.
Please use it as a Bandana and a Tapestry, etc.
＊Tenugui doesn't process the edge of the cloth. Therefore, there is a possibility of frayed spot. The Japanese catches it "tasteful". Please understand because all Tenugui is so.

“Satomi Hakkenden” is a full-length mystery novel which was written by Kyokutei Bakin for 28 years from 1814. This is a sprawling story about the eight balls flew off from Fusehime who was killed by cursing and Hakkenshi were born from these eight balls. With my own interpretation, I drew Hakkenshi as a figure of dogs.

Yakushinyorai is a Buddha having a power to bring people out of illness and it holds a pot filled with sovereign remedy against all disease. Junishinshou are war gods who protect those people who profess Yakushinyorai with their respective 7000 Kenzoku Yasha (subordinate warriors). Each god is assigned to twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac. They originally look very doughty but I dare to draw them endearingly.

“Fujin” is the spirit of wind and “Raijin” is the spirit of thunder. Many painters have drawn “Fujin” and “Raijin” so far. This one is based on the most famous Tawaraya Soutatsu’s “Fujin Raijin Zu Byoubu.”
In addition, I drew “Nobori-ryu (ascending dragon)” and “Kudari-ryu (descending dragon)” which are said to be a symbol of good fortune if they put in pairs.

2009 Calender Book

2009年のカレンダーを発売します。
カレンダーですがアートブックにもなっています。サイズはA5（カレンダーは見開きのA4サイズ）になります。
カレンダー部分は２ヶ月ごとの７枚綴り（2010年の1.2月分まで）。近年の仕事やオリジナルの作品、「現代電子浮世絵」の新作など初公開の作品も含まれています。

ただ、このカレンダーはビジネス用に作ったパンフレットなので、販売する商品は不要なページを削除して再編成していますのでご注意下さい。それを覗けば、近年の仕事用、海外展示用の作品を色々見る事が出来るアートブックとカレンダーが一緒になったお得な本です。
